The following Flooding projections from surge levels is from the Johnson Space Center Security Department. It is based on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane rating scales. These have shown ineffective in rating winds and surges together. The ratings are probable to be changed at the April 2009 National Hurricane Conference in Austin Texas. Watch for changes from this conference.
