Clay attended University of Houston as an Electrical Engineering major before finding himself drawn
into the world of high finance where he worked for over 27 years. Starting in the 11th largest independent bank within Harris County,
as the world adopted branch banking and the fight for the largest and most branches became intense, he found himself working for
the banks which became BankOne, NA and finally JPMorgan Chase. He served variously as District Operations Manager within Houston,
Regional Manager of staff modeling (7 states 1,200+ offices), and Regional Audit Manager (3 states, 700+ offices) in addition to leading

Clay has always been interested in construction and has long done his own remodeling and furniture building as well as that of his
neighbors when caught in the right mood. At the end of his banking career, the idea of becoming a Real Estate Inspector was introduced
by a friend and REALTOR®.

Clay joined TPREIA for the camaraderie, fellowship and wealth of knowledge found among its members. He has not been disappointed.

John Vaden

John Vaden
Director At Large
- Chapter Development Chair

John has been with TPREIA for the last 3 years. He has been an inspector for 3 1/2 years. He feels that this industry is important to all of us not only as fellow inspectors but also the consumer. John said, "I believe that as inspectors we are always learning and growing in an ever changing sea of requirements. I believe that the great thing about TPREIA is not only the education and support that you get from the organization, it is the brotherhood and support from fellow members that is the best part of TPREIA to me".

Stephanie Engolio
Director
 At Large
- Assistant Public Relations

Stephanie Engolio graduated from Texas A&M University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science.  In addition to working for an engineering firm and a general contractor while in
college, Stephanie has been in the construction industry since 1997. Five years of that have been as a Code Inspector for the City of Houston. Stephanie is a Licensed Professional Inspector through Texas
Real Estate Commission (TREC), Licensed Mold Assessment Consultant with TDLR, and a Certified Building Inspector by International Code Council (ICC) and InterNACHI. She also holds memberships
with TPREIA, InterNACHI and the Greater Houston Chapter of TPREIA as well as Houston Area Realtors.
Why I want to be part of the Board:
I have been on the GHCT board for almost 2 years now and a member of TPREIA for almost 3 years. I love the sense of "family" and that most anyone is available to help a fellow inspector when needed.
The education and training I have received while being part of this group has been more valuable than any other tools I have acquired. I want to be part of the board so that I can help further the efforts that
are already in place so that others can benefit as much or more than I have. I feel I can contribute a lot to the State Level. I am good with people and have great resources and abilities to get things done. I
have a passion for helping and serving others and, while on occasion I get in over my head, I believe this to be my best strength.

Robert Rexer
Director
 At Large

Robert P. Rexer is a native Houstonian born in 1952 and graduating from Lamar High School, then from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

My career in residential construction started on March 16, 1982 when I was employed as a construction superintendent by General Homes in Houston, Texas. My employment with production homebuilders in Houston continued until 2005, excluding a couple of years with Tenneco Oil Company during the housing downturn.

In 2005, I accepted a position with Burgess Construction Consultants where I acquired my five International Residential Code licenses along with licenses from RESNET as a field tester and rater.

In 2011, I acquired my Texas Real Estate Professional Inspectors license and struck out on my own path. Shortly after receiving my license, I joined TPREIA and the GHCT. About a year later, I also joined MMC where I have served in several positions on the chapter board. I also joined InterNACHI where I received my Certified Master Inspector classification.
I also hold
- a Certified Pool Inspector classification,
-Infrared Certified®,
-and a Mold Assessment Technician license from TDLR.
As in any organization, each member needs to contribute so that the organization does not become stagnant and fails to grow. At this point in my career, I believe it is my time to step up to the State Board of Directors and contribute my time and talents to the organization, which has help and been instrumental in my career growth.
